I WISH

I wished for sunshine and we got it.

It's a gorgeous day so a bit of sun worship is planned. The seat covers are out and guess a glass or two may be nice this afternoon aswell.

I hope you are all bathed in the glorious stuff too. Enjoy.

This scrap page is for my precious who would have been 19 today. xx

PEARLED INKS

I went onto the Tim Holtz web site this morning and found that he had loaded another fantastic video demo.

This one is using distress ink pads and perfect pearls. His examples were amazing - as usual.

I just had to have a go and even though I tried hard, I really need to practise more with the water spray.

The little bird stamp is one of Lindsay Mason's Swirly Birds.

HOW I WISH

I don't think I am a jealous or envious person despite wishing for certain things occasionally, but today I am very jealous.

Our lovely friends have gone on holiday in their caravan for the next 10 days. They had booked into a site somewhere in Scotland, but having seen the weather forecast for that region over the coming week, decided that a wet holiday was just too much to bear after the awful spring in these parts.

They rang us on Tuesday to enquire about a gorgeous little Caravan Club CL that we have been to over the last 3 years in the hopes that, despite the Bank Holiday, they could still book on to. They were going to make a decision yesterday as to which area to visit.

We rang them at lunch time and they had just set off - to POOLE, DORSET!!! - my very favourite place ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have spent all afternoon in a deep depression because, I WANT TO GO TOO!!

MORE FUN

I played a bit more and did these. I think Santa is the best although he's here a bit early!!

3 TIMES A LADY

I've used the same stamp to make 3 different ATCs. I would love to say "create 3 different ATCs" but having received some incredible cards from my swapping buddy Barb, I cannot possibly say I create them because that would put both lots in the same league and mine don't come anywhere near the quality of hers. True talent.

The backgrounds on numbers 2 & 3 are made using alcohol inks and number 1 is made with distress inks.

None are very imaginative but once again, I had fun.

A TREAT AWAITS YOU

If you have a minute please take a look at my Flickr. I have loaded some photos of the amazing ATCs I have received this week from my swapping buddies.
I think you will agree that there is some wonderful talent out there. Enjoy.
P.S. Leonie, you will appreciate 'Glastonbury' !!!

A BIT OF A BREAK

I've had a bit of a break from blogging for a few days while I make some cards for Dawn's support of our troops. When I go over to her shop and Lindsay Mason's workshop next month, I shall take them and keep my fingers crossed they are suitable for the cause.

Inbetween though, I have managed a couple of ATCs and this is one of them. It's covered with material on the outside and inked and stamped on the inside. A bit of fun.

I hope to update my Flickr later with pics of the gorgeous ATCs I have received from 2 of my swapping pals.

On a sad note, I just want to send Tim Holtz and his family my thoughts and support at this sad time. He had to let his gorgeous 14yr old dog, Cooper, go this week. I know only too well what he is going through just now.

I HAD FUN AGAIN!

On a roll these past few days. Got to make the most of it when you are in the mood.

I changed a few colours and made some more flower ATCs, plus had a go at some more spurred on by this lovely Craft Stamper magazine.

Enjoyed every minute.

FLOWER POWER

There is a gorgeous card in the May Craft Stamper magazine which really took my eye. I decided to have a go at making an ATC based on the lovely colours used.

The centre flower is one I had dried quite some time ago and laminated to keep from breaking up. It seems to have worked well in this project. I'm going to have a go at another using different coloured distress inks and see what happens.
