DOGPUSS - Fab Friday #15 - Decoupage Delights

I love decoupage. The cutting out is sometimes a bit hard but the end result is worth the effort. This ATC took me a few days because we moved from Poole last Sunday and went to Seaton in Devon to meet a friend I have made through Leonie's ATC club. What a fantastic experience and what a fabulous lady. More on that when I get home as the web link 'on the go' only allows so much.

This little kitten can't make up it's mind whether to be a cat or a dog. It certainly loves wearing hats too. Simple cutting put together with 3D foam squares. It gave me a laugh so I hope you like it too.

MY DREAM - Fab Friday #14 - pretty piece of paper

I made this one from K & Company 'McKenna, a bit of Glossy Accents and a few bits of 3D foam.

Fab Friday #14 ATCs

If you have seen Leonie's latest blog post, you will realise how clever a crafter she is. I was enthralled on Saturday watching her 2 hour QVC show and the fantastic creations she did. How I wish I was a millionairesse (is that how you spell it?) so that I could buy all the lovely 'goodies'. Oh! what was that my husband, I already buy them all anyway!!! Tut! Anyway, I'm having another go at uploading a Fab Friday #14 challenge because Leonie certainly set this one right up my street, especially being away because I brought lots of paper with me.

DREAMS - Fab Friday challenge #14 - Pretty Piece of Paper

What a ball I've had making ATCs for this challenge, 10 so far! I've picked just 1 because it's hard to upload the photo. I simply chose 2 complimentary papers and cut bits out of each then assembled them. The word is also from a paper stack, K & Company, but it looks ok.

I've been sat next to my little pal, Toby, whilst making these ATCs as he is not really too well. His back right leg gave way on him yesterday so feeding, etc. is all 'hands on' and as he comes first, the holiday is not going too well. One of us is with him at all times now. Never mind, he is ok in himself and is a bit more perky today.

Oh! here we go. The photo uploading bit is not responding, I'll have to include the photo later - again!
I'll have a go at putting the others on my flickr so please check that out.

WHITE-WASHED BLOOM

This ATC was made 7/12/07 but just about complies with Leonie's requirements for this weeks challenge. However, I am now busy going through the papers I've brought with me together with the 3 ink pads and stickles and 3D glossy accents, to try and make proper ATCs for this weeks challenge.

White-washed bloom is made from Paper Mania Inspirations colossal paper pack. I simply cut a piece of one of the papers to ATC size then 3d'd the r/h flower and l/h leaves. Easy peasy!

Bye the way, did'nt Dave do well. The pic. of the last challenge is now on.

INTERNET ON THE GO

Well, I thought I might have trouble and I did. My picture just would not upload. If it was a really good ATC I would be most disappointed, but it's really not brilliant. However, I keep saying that I have fun making these cards for the challenges and I did so again. My lovely computer friend, Dave, is going to have a go at putting the picture on for me from a photo sent from a mobile. Just as we arranged that, I managed to email him a copy at long last. Should I tell him that I am away for another 5 or 6 challenges??!! oops!

I really wanted to blog about Toby's holiday and share a few pictures of him, but this problem won't allow that. However, I may be able to put a few words on and upload the pictures when we get home. Last week was a bit traumatic as Toby was really poorly for a few minutes on Thursday. He quickly picked up and has been fine ever since. We got a real shock though. Poor little lad.

BUBBLE MEMORIES - Leonie's Fab Friday #13 - Recollection & Receipts

I managed to make an ATC for this week's challenge despite being 300miles away in Poole, Dorset. Following on from our trip to Cornwall 2 years ago and a fabulous day out at the Eden Project, I came up with this ATC. I hope it's ok. The receipt bit is from a purchase on the way out, the membership card is given to you when you register as a friend of Eden, the statement is cut from a paper napkin from their cafe and the bubble wrap just seemed appropriate to realise the bio domes. The worse bit of trying to blog whilst on holiday is the awful web connection facilities so I hope this works.

HOLIDAY TIME AGAIN

Toby is off round the country again. He is all packed and ready to go on Tuesday, this time for 6 weeks. He loves his motorhome and has travelled with us every time. A trip to the vet tomorrow for his steroid injection will see him on until we go to Totnes in Devon where he will visit another vet.

The only problem for me, being a paper crafter, is what to take with me in order to have a go at Leonie's Fab Friday ATC challenges. I couldn't decide, so have packed a couple of things - just incase!

CUT N SEW -Leonie's Fab Friday #12 - Chop and Change

I used a dressmakers pattern stamp and black Stazon to create the image which I then simply coloured with chalks. I then cut the image into 3 and fastened them back together with a safety pin and a hook and eye which I sewed in place. The little brass charm was coloured with alcohol ink, cranberry which I stuck using silicone. The whole thing was then glue dotted to a vibrant blue pearlised card. Fun to do.

I found a friend some weeks ago and hav'nt seen her since - but she helped me through today

Green Thoughts - Leonie's Fab Friday challenge#11 'Tone on Tone'

The base card for this ATC is dark green cardstock and the topper is white. Having just written that description, I now wonder whether I've failed this weeks challenge as the stamp I've used leaves a few white bits. I'll check the rules again. In the meantime, I used Brilliance pearl lime for the Hero Arts ? marks. The lovely eye stamp is one I bought from Topaz and have stamped it using Stazon Cactus Green. The word explore is Adirondak pen Meadow and the word imagine is Pesto. I coloured the dream metal embellishment with Tim Holtz alcohol ink Bottle.

I lost my friend and neighbour this week. Her favourite colour is green, so, Maureen, this one is for you xx
