WOYWW ISN'T 'PEG LEG' CLEVER

Despite waiting to go in hospital - which incidently, didn't happen 'cos they cancelled at the last minute!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - 'peg leg' made me this:
24 blending tools plus holder.
He had already made me an 8 tool holder that sits on my work desk which he is going to alter into a 16 one. This means that I have 36 - one for each distress ink. I don't have to change the pads now because each tool has it's own.

Not only will it stand on my work desk, but it hangs from the ceiling when not being used. How clever is that

I worked out the cost of making 36 blending tools and 2 holders, including the foam pads but excluding the wood, which he already had, and it came to about £41.
The cost of 36 Ranger blending tools and 5 holders is about £280!!!!!
I think I did well there. We spent ages putting labels on the tools and

we even labelled all my distress inks too

Some of you have been asking me how I access my washer and drier after I showed you this photo last week
Well it's quite easy really, I simply move everything.

It's not a nice place to be in the cold of the winter as I have to have the window open for the elephant nose from the drier, so no crafting gets done then.
Now, for peeps at other craft rooms, pop over to Julia's, click on a name from the list and have a good 'ol nosey around. I actually managed 80 last week!  Take care.

Chuffing chuff Joanne, I have a serious admiration for Mr PegLeg - isn't he clever! And... what a FAB idea! My spinner is featuring today ( I do not want to know how much I spent on it... mind you, I did get 10 tools for about £15 on eBay a while back... you know me, loving a bargain!!!)
Thanks for sharing... I have a dryer situation... so I got one of those condenser jobbies that means I donn't have to put it's nose out of the window - steams the room up no end though LOL x

Those racks and tools are amazing... what a clever Mr Peg Leg, the sky hook is particularly ingenious!
It's a pity the elephant can't stick his nose out through the wall instead of the window, then you wouldn't have to have the window open and could craft at any time!

I love your blending tool store. What an incredibly clever idea!

My little bags you commented on are not bags yet. They are just wall-hangings or card toppers. I did think of bags, though!.
Have a good week.

Cool spinner! I always thing that to ceiling space is under utilized - but then I am tall. When MIL was here (she's about 5 foot nothing) I spent a lot of time fetching things down for her that were stored to suit me, in places like the top of tall bookcases, or above the kitchen cabinets :) At least in your craft room you only have to suit yourself! Well done Mr PegLeg.

I love the spinner peg-leg made. He's very handy. You have proven that true crafters can find a space to craft regardless. I hang my clothes on my clothes line in summer and vent the dryer into the house for heat and humidity in the winter. I'm not sure that would be good for my papers, though. Got a kick out of your calling it the elephant nose. It really DOES look like one! Happy WOYWW (#8)

When Mr Peg Leg does go in hospital (fingers crossed it is soon over with and all is well) you could send him out to crafters all over the country to make them those fabulous holders he has made you. Only for him to recuperate around the country of course.
If only I had a Mr Peg Leg - you are so lucky. Thanks for sharing the pics.

all the lovely things that DH makes for you - I'm jealous! Hope he gets his op soon! i have a question for you (or even all your followers!) I have stamped an image using 'Archival Ink' black but when I come to colour it in using 'promarkers' the black runs into the colour - I've let the archival dry overnight and it still happens - any ideas??? as I'm starting to get really p****d off now!!!

What a neat holder for your ink tools! Gotta love the DIY men in our lives who can make us these great things. I feel for you not being able to use your craft room in winter. Mine is in my basement and it is too cold for me during winter so I do everything in my bedroom.

Hi Joanne, sorry to hear about your hubby (pegleg?) not getting in for his op. We are having similar issues here in Australia.I am also a fan of Burmese cats and Tim Holtz. Our cat is a burmese cross ( no idea what with), she has a very unique character, my husband calls her catdog. Her name is Sparkles but she should be calld Miss Miaow. She announces her arrival wherever she goes, very talkative. Thanks for your comment, blessings Hilde
