MY CLEVER PAL, SONIA

That's very true, Sonia is more talented than she admits. Her cards and ATCs are always so very neat and full of imagination. She's a child of the sixties, like 'T' and I, so we have a lot in common and we chat online when we can. By that, I mean when Sonia is not jetting off to Spain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.
Anyway, before she does just that again on Sunday, she managed to make me some ATCs and post them off to me.

This card made me giggle. The image is Paper Artsy I think, which Sonia has stamped onto coloured card and then cut out!!  She has hand written the words onto acetate and stapled them to the side. Really effective.

From My House.......

I love this one. Grungepaper houses die cut from Tim's on the edge Townscape die, coloured , some fancy paper behind the windows and then mounted on the previously coloured base using 3D foam. The grasses are from some oriental stamps.









See, I told you Sonia is clever.

MY FINGERS ARE CROSSED

It has taken me 41mins to book a ticket for Tim's workshop at Paper Artsy. My payment was accepted but I'm not sure that means I actually have a place.

Oh the wait to know for sure is going to be awful.

Anyone else I know managed to book??????

A LITTLE CHARM

How I am longing for those new facetted fragments from Mr Tim. Oh! and most of the rest of his summer releases - well, a girl has to have what a girl has to have, don't you agree?

Anyway, back down to earth. For one of his classes at the CHA show, Tim and his students made a gorgeous charm embellishment and the photo of this is  now on his web site. Obviously I couldn't make one the same, so I got going with what I had and voila, this is what I came up with. Once I decide on the colour scheme of the card it will go on , I'll add some net or ribbon or something.

The fragments cover some Paper Artsy, Rum and Raisin paper I bought last year - too late for Xmas cards!!
I used the little angel I made the other day, a pearl drop I made yesterday and several metal charms. Sorry the photo isn't better, but we have another rotten, dull day here and taking piccies is difficult.
Well 'peg leg' has just gone out to sort out his mobile phone contract, They are charging different amounts each month which isn't right, and also for a look round the flag market car boot in Preston. He's on a mission to find something for a friend. Suppose I better clean up some more sawdust from yesterday when he started to fit a new bi-fold door on the front room. Notice I said started? not sure if I'll ever get to say finish!!

ONE-EYED PEG

I wasn't sure whether to show you these or whether to wait until I had sent them to my swapping buddies. But, considering I have just spent the most of the last 4 days making these ATCs, I thought, why not.

I wanted to make little characters but make them silly, a bit of fun no less. This is what I came up with.

Their heads are squashed bottle tops mounted on a spring and topped with a bit of knitting yarn for hair and a 3D hat. The bodies are simply a bit of paper-covered card and the legs, which swing away, (this keeps the whole thing to 3.5" long) are from some Paper Artsy Christmas stamps. I had just enough wobbly eyes to make all 6 but unfortunately, 1 eye has disappeared!!! Hence 'one-eyed Peg'. The rest don't have a name as yet, but I'll think of something.

PAPER ARTSY

The December issue of Craft Stamper has a reader offer from Paper Artsy for a set of 4 Nut & Meg Squiggly stamps and a Xmas paper pack. Having seen some of these stamps used by Jo Capper-Sandon, I was already on a mission to obtain them so this offer was just too good to miss. I did not hesistate and ordered them.
The lovely staff at Paper Artsy kept me informed throughout my order process. However, because they felt they were letting me down by not processing my order straight away (they were tied up with the NEC show), they decided to send me some 'goodies'.
I just wanted to let you know how fantastic their service is. There was absolutesly no need to send me anything extra, but as they have, I felt it only right that I play a drum roll for their friendliness.
Thank you again Paper Artsy, and as I have said - Beware, I shall be back!

A MEASURED CHRISTMAS

This is a picture of one of the six ATCs I've made, all the same. One to swap at workshops, demos etc. and the other 5 are for my swapping buddies.

I found an old Craft Stamper magazine which had some lovely card examples made using Stazon ink pads and vaious rubber stamps. I liked the colour combination so much that I 'shuffled' things about a bit and came up with this ATC.

I used distress ink pads, a Hero Art Flourish Wave stamp, inkassentials white gel pen, peel offs, Adirondak pitch black paint dabber, Paper Artsy Christmas stamp and a number stencil.
