SDC 53 - ATCs

This weeks challenge over at the Stampotique Designers Challenge blog is - ATCs.
I thought I would have a go at this one, so here is my card:

2 sticks have been framed - again!
I sprayed some Adirondak inks onto some pre-wetted cardstock and then sprayed water through a stencil over the top of the ink. A bit of dabbing and drying made the base. I then simply used a Copic multi liner pen to draw the frame and coloured every other section with butterscotch acrylic dabber. I stamped 2 sticks with Archival black and again onto some card. They were coloured with Copic caios and the bodies 3D foamed onto the stamped images. I then used studio g stamps for the words which I cut out after colouring them with mustard seed DI. They were stuck down with glossy accents.
I love 2 sticks, they are amongst my favourite Stampotique stamps - which are all of them!!!!

SDC 45: - A NEW YEARS WISH

I thought I would have a go at the latest Stampotique Designers Challenge because the subject - a wish for the New Year - seemed appropriate to me being determined to make 2012 the best year ever.
I sprayed ink through masks, sprayed ink without masks, sprayed water through masks, daubed Terra through masks, embossed here and there, distressed here and there, to finally come up with a background - phew!! I computer printed some words and finally got to use my lovely new Stampotique stamp - 2 sticks. I coloured the little fellows with my new Whispers pens.

SDC #43 - NON TRADITIONAL XMAS CARD

And that means, no reds or greens either. Wow, Stampotique came up with a corker of a challenge this fortnight. As it's the 4th Wednesday challenge in the month, it also meant you could only use their stamps too.
I gave it a go.

Here is 'the crafter', scissors in hand, totally fed up of wrapping Xmas presents. Just like I get actually. don't mind buying them but hate wrapping them.
I used Adirondak spray paints and biscotti perfect pearls spray for the background, distress inks to colour the image, peel-off stickers for the parcels and a black Copic pen and white inkssentials pen.
The best bit was, I only got ink on my middle finger and thumb!!!!!

SDC #42 - SKETCH

The Stampotique Designers challenge this time is a sketch:

You can use any stamps this time round and have until 22/11 to enter.
I've had a go and made another Christmas card. Well, it was a good opportunity.

I had the papers in my stash and found they were a perfect match for the new winter distress inks which I used on the Lindsay Mason elf stamp. The red matt is punched using a round the page punch from Martha Stewart and all the liitle snowflake punchouts make a super embellishment.

TOOT-T-T-TOOT (supposed to sound like a trumpet!!)

I am blowing my own trumpet and making no excuses for it because I am over the moon to say the least.
If you read the few words at the top of my blog (the ones that go right over Toby's picture 'cos I can't get them to do anything else), you will see that I make no bones about being an amateur crafter. Just a lass that has picked up a hobby that totally suits and sometimes makes a project worth shouting about. Well I did just that - aparently - a couple of weeks ago. This was it:

Some of you will know how much I love the quirky Stampotique designs, so will understand how much this means to me.

STAMPOTIQUE DESIGNERS CHALLENGE #40

It's Tag Time - that's the SDC #40 challenge.
Any stamps can be used for this challenge, so out came Bow Tie, embossing folders, inks, Copics, embellishments, ribbons, etc. and I ended up with this:

The light wasn't very good for this photo so the colours appear rather muted.

HOT FLOWERS

Whilst the invalid is having a sleep, I thought I would pop on and enter this ATC into a couple of challenges.
The first is the Stampotique Designers Challenge - FLOWER POWER
Next is the Artistic Stamper Challenge Blog - HOT COLOURS

The flowers are made from Tim's lost and found stash using mainly the warm red sides. The base card is mopped up DIs Fired Brick and Pine Needles over stamped with brushed Corduroy on Tim's acrylic stamps.

SDC #32 - CLEAN AND SIMPLE

The Stampotique Designers Challenge this week is a non-Stampotique stamp week, which means you don't have to use their stamps if you don't want to. As I only possess one together with some stamped images given to me by a very generous crafter, this challenge is 'up my street'.
Having said that, the theme Clean and Simple proved harder than I thought and my little card took me 2 days to do!!!!

I used a 6"x6" white card base and stamped the swirl with Archival black. The image is so clear from the La Blanche stamps. I then stamped Dream, again in black Archival, let it dry a few seconds before using a water brush to colour over it with weathered wood DI. Three black gems in the corner and job done.
I really like the effect of this simple look despite my pondering - used to grungy and layering!! - and may just make some more.
