I AM RICH - I HAVE GOLD

It's true, at long last I have gold. Well flowers actually, but not just any old flowers - if they were old flowers they would be shrivelled and on the compost heap lol - no, my flowers are pure gold, perfectly formed and come in different sizes. They are a vision of lovliness and have been in my mind for some time, so when the opportunity to own them came along, I jumped in there and now they are mine.
I'm wafflin' on so here they are:

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

There are some truly fabulous Halloween pieces out there in craft land this year. One in particular has been made by Hels Sheridan. Pop over and have a peek if you get the chance. I haven't really had a play this year apart from a couple of ATCs and an altered frame, but I have received Tim's new stamps, a die and embossing folder which will come in very handy next time around.

I seem to be on a roll with Xmas just now and have completed 2 cards! Wow! That's good for me. Actually it's not 'cos I am so behind with other cards, like birthday, which really isn't good. Here's a quick look at what I've done so far.

Both designs are from the new Magnolia magazine, but as you can see, I've adapted them 'cos I don't have the Magnolia stamps. I'm particularly pleased with the second card. It's really quite lovely ....ooh! self praise.
I'm packing my best stash today as we are going down the road to Southport for a few days in the motorhome. My friend, Sonia, is coming on Tuesday for a day of crafting and I hope to be able to show her some Ranger techniques as taught to me by Lindsay when I've watched her demos and attended her workshops. Sonia is fast becoming a DI addict and wants to move on a bit, so she will be able to play with all the stamps and alcohol inks plus lots of other goodies such as dabbers, perfect pearls, stickles, fragments and dies. Her attention to detail is excellent so I reckon she will end up showing me.
I will take photos, or better still, I'll get 'peg leg' to take a few, and blog them as we go along.

SUNDAY STAMPERS WEEK 126 - GREEN (onions)

Hels has set the colour GREEN for this one and you can make anything you like. Here's mine:

It's a very simple ATC but I've used my newly acquired (today actually) Martha Stewart punches on the corner and edge.
The base card is special glossy stock which takes alcohol inks. I used about 6/7 different inks and blew them across the card with an air can. The little bird is from Tim's Caged Bird die, simply distressed and highlighted with stickles before being stuck to the base with 3D foam.
I rubbed the tissue tape with distress ink and tore it up before adding that. The beads are stuck down with stickles.
I've never seen a bird like this one, have you??

SPOOKY

Please see my previous post for a daylight picture of the frame I made for the SCD and Artistic Stamper Creative Team challenge. I thought that today I would enter it into the Sunday Stamper challenge also, except I took a photo last night - in the dark!!!

This scared the life out of me. I had put the frame on the shelf over the tv so the only light was from that and the ambient light behind it.
The skull in the middle was stamped with orange paint dabber but it looks luminous. How amazing that it showed up like this.
Not to mention that the skeleton had fallen off previously despite being stuck on with glossy accents. Anyway, it now has a large sticky zot keeping it in place.
I'm going to move it today, I don't want to be frightened again tonight. That Wagner on X-Factor scares me enough without a picture doing the same.

I had better put the daylight photo on so Hels can see it properly.

I had forgotten to mention yesterday that the flowers were also stamped with an Artistic Stamper rubber stamp, sequin waste, using orange Brilliance on the large flowers and distress embossing ink and disco black embossing powder on the smaller ones. I had also die cut some black actual sequin waste using Tim's tattered floral die, which formed the first layer on the left hand flower.

SONG SUNG BLUE

Over on Hels Sheridan's blog - http://pinkleart.blogspot.com - aka Ink on My Fingers, this week's challenge theme is 'song sung blue'.
I may have a go at this tomorrow inbetween packing up to go home.
If you read her latest post, which includes a gorgeous metal creation, Hels tells us of her evening watching a horror movie and how Alfie, her cat, sat on her feet keeping her 'protected'.

SEA SHELLS BY THE SEASHORE

Hi folk.
Another beautiful day on the south coast. Beautiful 'til I decided to catch up on the washing (there's a laundry on this site) peg it all out on the whirligig, the plastic peg thingy, the awning straps, over the loungers and finally, over the dropped down awning front. Then....... it poured down!!!!!!!!! It's now all over the inside of the awning and the sun is shining once more!!!

We spent a few hours around the harbour and marina in Brixham today. I found some tiny shells in a gift shop which specialises in shell tourist gifts.


Also, I found these wooden ducks outside an amazing shop selling carved wooden art. If you are reading this, Hels, this picture is for you.


'Peg Leg' sampled some chips and managed to keep them to himself instead of sharing them with the seagulls! Actually, I had the crispy ones. The harbour was lovely, better than we have ever seen it. The tide was in, there were fish jumping, the water was crystal clear and the gardens leading up to the marina were spectacular. All so special. I do love this place.

Well my web connection is soooo slow today, despite having 2G and 5 bars, so I will try and upload a picture of my shells and sit back for an hour while it appears.

WARM AND SUNNY

What a gorgeous day today. Hardly any wind, warm sunshine and the most beautiful scenery on this gorgeous east coast. Our last day here as we are off to Beverley tomorrow to see our Susi and family. Not seen her for 17months!!
Anyway, part of today was very special. Not only did we have the most tasty fish and chips in the country - yes Hels we had some more (Whitby fish is the very best) but I bought £42 worth of wood-backed rubber stamps for - wait for it - £5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that's a bargain.

SUNDAY STAMPERS #101 - KEYS

Just a very quick post as we are moving to windy Flamborough in a couple of hours.
I wanted to try and enter Hels' challenge this week but had awful trouble taking a photo. This ATC (cos really that's all I'm going to make whilst away) isn't wonderful, but considering I made it at 11pm last night, I suppose it's ok.

Anyway, this card is another little thanks to Hels who made my day with some Stampotique goodies. I adore these stamps because they just remind me of myself in years gone by when I was a bit of a rebel - at heart if nothing else.

This image is called 'Newt with Lunch Box' - funny name for a girl!! I used the 3 challenge copics to colour her plus some skin tones and a bit of lighter grey for her hair. The rest is easy to make out, a bit of stamping, a bit of torn card, a bit of fibre, a few flowers and brads and a lovely little pusscat.

All fun which is what this crafting is all about eh girls??
