I was amazed by the cut n dry felt technique today. I remembered Tim showing us this in 2007 but never tried it. Actually, I had only just started to move away from toppers and matting by that time!
Trouble was, I didn't have any felt and as today's tag was really about that particular technique, I just had to go and get some.
I used Tim's pine stamp, not the one he used today 'cos I don't have that one, and coloured the 'custom' stamp with re-inkers forest moss, peeled paint, walnut stain and vintage photo.
Just look at the amazing result. It's brilliant.
I did all the stamping he suggested plus all the distressing.
and ended up with this so far.
Next came the ribbon and fiddly bits ie. I had to make my own baubles.
However, after enjoying myself once more thanks to the wonderful Mr Tim, I ended up with this.

Beautiful Tag, I had no foam either or reinkers, but I love that technique, and am going to have to go shopping at the weekend and try it!
