Another few challenges with today's tag.
Firstly, how to recreate the tree without having the stamp. I thought that was going to be hard but actually turned out quite easy. I have the branch tree embossing folder so decided to have a play and try and use that. I embossed it onto some scrap paper and then outlined it with a drawing pen. I did wonder whether the distress inks would make the pen run as it is a pigment pen, but no, it was fine.
However, I had to make some ruffled ribbon and that was a challenge.
I used very sticky double sided tape and white organza ribbon for this, making 2 lengths which I then stuck to the tag after colouring them with peeled paint DI.
The rest was ok, apart from trying to put the grunge sticker into the memo pin. These pins are far too strong for me to prise apart, so I had to enrol the help of 'peg leg' again.
Anyway, I've finished #3 and here it is.

Brilliant improvisation Joanne! btw, did you know that if you heat organza ribbon with a heat gun, it crinkles up? That's what I had to do.

Oh gorgeous Tag, I had trouble with the Tree too, so I drew it! There's always a solution!

Great idea for the tree Joanne! Lovely tag.
Love how you did your tree. I thought I was going to have to draw mine (that would have been a disaster!) I use a palette knife to lever the memo pin apart far enough to get card etc inserted!
Very clever idea with the branches, that bit had me stumped for a while too, I ended up having to draw mine by hand lol, cant wait to see what tomorrow brings thanks for sharing xxx
Oooh, gorgeous version of the tag and love your branch idea.
BTW just adore the lovely kitty on your blog header.

Another gorgeous Tag Joanne. I'll be playing later..............I'll let you know how I get on!! Love S xx
Thank you for visiting my blog, and giving me the measurements of the tags. All I can say is that mine are a lot bigger than Tim's !!!!! Love your tag, the tree idea was clever. I see you had some of the other bits. I often wondered what one would use those pins for. Now I know.
All that work paid off...looks great.....I'm glad it's not just me with that pin thing! I was cursing not having a little helper!
Roll on tomorrow....at least I'm not at work....although I've had to bring some VAT papers home to check as the deadline looms

What a billiant tag - well done with drawing that tree. I thought it was just me with that blessed pin, took me 10 minutes and a kitchen knife to ram the sticker in lol x
Wow, that's fantastic, love your other tags, too.
Fantastic tag, I nearly did the same technique as you for the tree, but I had the branch stamp from urban tapestry and used that. Love the way you've improvised.
Great make. My thumbs are up for it to fit the theme! Thanks for joining and sharing with us at SCD this week
