LILI OF THE VALLEY #55

I just had to make a card for this weeks LOTV challenge because I so want to win the prize. It's some gorgeous flowers. Have a look at the link in my sidebar for the details.
My LOTV stamps are mainly Christmas ones, so I thought I would make a start on my seasonal cards with this challenge.
The gorgeous papers are from Creative Imaginations as is the epoxy sentiment. The flowers are Prima apart from the little roses which I got from a wholesale store locally. The punched leaves are made using my new Martha Stewart oak leaf punch - been after that punch for ages and managed to get one last Saturday. I coloured the LOTV image with Copics and added some icicle stickles for snow. Lastly, the ribbon is from Anna Griffin.
I enjoyed making this card and it will go to someone very special at Christmas.

LOTV BLOG CANDY

WOW! Lilli of the Valley will be releasing their new set of 12 stamps on 1 June.
It includes 4 dressing up girls, 4 boys, 2 babies and 2 get well designs and are gorgeous as usual. Not only that, but they are reducing overseas postage to just £3.50 and for orders over £25, postage is free.
The best bit is, they are giving away a set of these stamps as blog candy between now and midnight Saturday 29 May.

SPRING - renamed SUMMER BLOSSOMS

2 challenges for this little card;
Copics Colour Challenge # 62 (follow the link in the sidebar)
Bo2 - robins egg blue
BV02 - prune
YG03 - yellow green
and
Lili of the Valley Challenge #52 (follow link in the sidebar)
Here comes Summer

I used a white base card cut to 6"x6". The lovely blue hydrangea paper is by Magenta and was perfect for my Martha Stewart hydrangea edge punch. Over this I used a strip of sticky back dotty paper and covered one edge with DCWV ready sticky lavender ribbon. The lavender flowers are from Prima and gorgeous, and the little branch 'leaves' are cut with another ME punch from some bright green paper.
The main image is a Sarah Kay stamp - Spring Blossoms, hence my re-naming the title to suit the LOTV challenge! I used the required Copic colours plus ones either side of them to create the shading. I then cut it out with a nestability frame and my Big Shot before shading the edge with Dusty Concord distress ink and 3D-ing it to the card.
I love this little image and often wonder what this little girl looks like. I wonder if its Charlie Dimmock???
Off to have another wonder what crafty bits to pack for this trip away in the van. I hope DH has a fabby time at this flying thingy so I can have 'me' time with the bits I take! Don't often have quiet time to myself so I am looking forward to that.

A 3 CHALLENGE CARD

At last I've managed to get on the net after trying for days. As soon as I get on, it kicks me out so fingers crossed for this post.

This little card meets these challenges:

Copic Colour challenge #60 Click Here

B93 -light crockery blue or BG93 - green grey

E47 - dark brown

Y23 - yellowish beige ( I used Y21)

Lily of the Valley challenge # 51 - a sketch click here

Totally Papercrafts challenge #12 - spring click here

I hope that if you click on the post title you will be ushered to the relevant blogs, but if not, their links are in the side bar of my blog.

I've had this flower fairy stamp for ages and think that this is the first time I have used it. I used the Copics to colour her then distressed the edges with bundled sage ink. The base paper is from K & co and the flower fairy card is from my stash as is the ribbon. The lovely little flowers are Prima. I tried to colour a gold peeloff greeting using a green Copic but it didn't come out too well.

I'm glad I've got this far tonight. Let's hope it loads now.

CAKE

I should have posted this challenge entry last night but when I looked at my card I realised I had forgotten an element. As the light was artificial - even though I have a daylight bulb - I thought it better to leave it 'til now. The Lili of the Valley #49 is a sketch. Check liliofthevalleythursdaychallenge.blogspot.com for details.

The little duck was a free download and I've coloured him with copics and used a nestability frame to cut him out. The rest is simple, K & Co papers, DCWV ribbon, Prima flower, some little flowers from Lakeland when they used to sell craft and finally, a couple of sticky gems.

It's nice and cheerful and just the job to brighten a rainy today.

COPIC EASEL CARD

Another whole day to make just one card. I will be so glad to get rid of this cold and clear my head. Better go tomorrow as I have a workshop on Saturday.

Yesterday's Copic Colour challenge #54 was to use these lovely colours:

BG15 - Aqua

B93 - Light Crockery Blue

Y21 - Buttercup Yellow

I used Sugar Nellie stamp, Manga Girl #1 together with some Bazzil cardstock, Basic Grey papers, Prima flowers, Martha Stewart deep edge flower punch and a few embellishments.

Considering the time I keep spending on just one card, I am also entering this into the Lily of the Valley challenge #48 - Easel card .

Please check out the side bar for links to both of these challenges.

PEARLS

http://dareu2digistamp.blogspot/ challenge #32 i s - PEARLS.

I wanted to have a go at this over the weekend but never had the time and now I'm full of a cold and feeling rotten so it's taken me a whole day to produce this entry.

I used a 6x6 cream base card and one of my new distress inks - victorian velvet - around the edges. I also distressed the patterned papers which I bought from the US years ago. The pink paper has been punched with a MS punch but the green lace is a ready prepared one. Again I used my Nellies frames to cut around the digi image which I have coloured with metallic Sakuras. I added a Prima flower which had pearls in the centre, pearls to the punched border and finally, a little key which I bought from Lily of the Valley.

As soon as my pal Hazel (didos) is settled in her new house, she will receive this as a welcome for better times to come.

BLOSSOM

First of all, may I say a big thank you to Artyjen for replying to my plea of where to buy a project pan for my melt pot. I've ordered one from Graphicus and it's already on it's way. Now that's service.

Only 3 more lots of penicillin to go to clear up this skin infection that suddently appeared on my cheeks - face cheeks that is LOL. I thought this year was going to be illness-free after the awful time I had in 2009, but so far, I've had that awful stomach bug and now this infection. Anyway, I will not be pulled down again by illness, just 'cos I get my prescriptions free now doesn't mean I have to have any!!! Onwards and upwards I say!

Back to crafting. The challenge this fortnight on Lily of the Valley #47,(http://liliofthevalleythursdaychallenge.blogspot.com/) is a lovely sketch. I love these challenges because, for me, half the work is done. This is my entry. I've used PM papers, Prima flowers, a peeloff I coloured with a white Sakura souffle pen, ribbon and buttons from my stash, my Nellies frames, the beautiful Sugar Nellie stamp - Blossom - hence the post title and my Copics - of which I now have a grand total of 142!!!! Whoopee!

I have used this weeks Copic Colour Challenge #52 colours; C3 - cool grey, R11 - pale cherry pink, G21 - lime green. Click on the link on the R/H of my blog to see their challenge blog and, hey! have a go.

HEARTS AND VALENTINE

I thought I would have a go at making a Valentine card this year. I've made ATCs in the past but this celebration is one my hubby and I don't do anymore. Not because we don't love each other, I suppose it's just that we don't give each other cards for Feb. 14. I wonder whether he will buy me a card this year after reading this though??

Anyway, I thought I would enter this one in 4 challenges:

Lily of the Valley challenge #46 - a Valentine card

Sunday Stampers challenge #89 - Hearts
Totally Papercrafts challenge #2 - 3 embellishments, 2 papers, 1 image
Copic Colour challenge #50 - colours, E18 - Copper, E42 - Sand White, E77 - Maroon

I had to use different Copics because I don't have any of this weeks colours, so hope the ones I chose are ok.

LILY OF THE VALLEY CHALLENGE #45

I found this challenge on one of the blogs I follow and thought I could have a go because it is a sketch challenge.

I used a 6"x6" base white card, K & Co papers, a gorgeous digi image which I cut out with my nestabilities, Prima flowers, DCWV ribbon, water colour pencils and a copic pen, 3 flower brads, stickles, a piece of embossed card from one of my ATC swapping buddies and a length of purple ribbon cut from a t-shirt!

I enjoyed this one very much.

ANOTHER CHALLENGE

I've had a go at this weeks Copic Colour Challenge #48. The colours for this are:

G21 - Lime Green

B45 - Smokey Blue

R85 - Rose Red

Guess what? I had them all this time so no trip to the craft shop for more.

I've used a new Lili of the Valley stamp, some free papers from Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, some of my gorgeous Prima flowers, my Martha Stewart edge punch - doily lace, some beads and my nestabilities.

Apart from entering the Copic challenge, I am putting this card in this month's Craft Garden challenge - NEW.
