Until I checked the number for today's woyww, I hadn't remembered my blog anniversary. How remiss of me. 4 years since I started this little extension to my crafting heaven. It's been the best thing I ever did, allowing me to meet so many people, make so many friends and, courtesy of our Julia, take a weekly trip around the world and have a good old nosey into more and more craft delights.
Last week's photo of my space gave rise to lots of comments about my hanging blending tool holder. I thought I had shown this before, but obviously not on a Wednesday, so here it is folk:
It started off as a double holder which stood on my work surface, but as Tim brought out more distress inks I decided that a blending tool for each of them was best for me. I don't like to wonder what colour I am going to get from the foam pad, I would rather make my colours by blending them myself. So the holder had to increase and because it now holds a tool for all 36 inks, plus the 6 seasonal ones, plus a couple of spares, it was far too big for my desk. DH not only made most of the tools but made it hang from the ceiling too - genius.
The space on the bit of wall to the side of it has shelves holding my distress stains, paints, perfect pearls sprays, Adirondak sprays, gesso etc. etc., the little drawers are full of all sorts of things like metal charms, embossing powders, buttons, glitters etc., there's a box which stores my sticky gems, bindies, stick pins, my Big Shot, another has my challenge ATCs in it and then there's my flat screen 240/12v tv/pc monitor.
My little room is tiny so I have to keep it neat or I can't even get in it. Also, as it's Spring, I've just had another clear out and put 65 items on Ebay last Sunday. Can't tell where it all came from though!
Right, another chance to go on a world wide trip today, so I had better get started. x

Oooh very organised! I too have to have a foam for every ink - I handmade all my handles to save pennies but just store them in baggies. Love all your little neat storage boxes too. Thanks for sharing - Sunshine Girl No. 5

It is a clever thing what your DH did do...cleverer still that even from here it doesn't look as if it's suspended by anything....!
Can get a rel feel for your space now..and yep, understand the need for tidiness. Don't ever visit me thinking I'll let you into my craft space...you'll be in shock!

I've got a handy hubby too and he's a boon when it comes to creating shelves, etc. However, he has never made anything as impressive as your hanging blending tool holder - it's fantastic. I can see you are super organised too - your crafting corner is a treat to look at. Happy WOYWW and I hope you have a lovely week. Elizabeth x #27
What a lovely work room. Like you I have lots of things that hubby produced to hold my craft things. Like you he made ink holders for all the distress inks, but needs to make some more now too. TFS. Hugs Rita xxx 55
Fabulous use of space, clever DH you have, Hugs May x x x No4
Prettiest and most useful chandelier I have seen in a while. I just tend to use bits of make-up sponge, various foams and some of the blender tools as well but the tools are by far the best.

Happy 4th Bloggaversary! Keep blogging and have fun. Great desk with super storage ideas.
Love JoZarty x still on hols!
Thanks for your visit and comment.
Hi Joanne thanks for popping in to my place. I am wondering if your tool holder is made from the twirly stands. If it is I would hate it to fall on your head as it is heavy! Good idea to have a tool per colour - I hate pulling the pads off as I always have to stick the velcro back on!! WOYWW Hugs to you Helen 42
Happy Bloggy Birthday! Mine is coming up in May.
